LIQUID and LEAVES
COMBINED WATER AND FOREST PROGRAM
Program includes:
- Visit and learn about the water and forest systems of the Warburton area
- Explore a pristine mountain creek, the Yarra River, Cool Temperate Rainforest and Mountain Ash Forest
- Find out about the fabulous creatures that live in our waterways and forests
- Provide students with a hands on experience at our Environment Discovery Centre
- Learn why it is essential to protect & maintain water catchments and forest communities
- Learn about human impact on our river passage asnd how we can protect it
Sites visited:
- Cool - temperate Rainforest Gallery and Rainforest Creek
- Yarra River
- Additional sites for secondary/tertiary groups when requested include Upper Yarra Reservoir and Yarra River Diversion Tunnels
